Step Six:

In this stage of painting, I bagin the proccess of creating texture.

Green was added to the underpainting mixture, then glazes were applied over the lilypads. During this process, I'm conscious of the idiosincrecies of the contours of form. Adjustments are made to the objects as I proceeded. The water lilies were further defined by modifying their tonal value - accentuating shadow and light.

Like most artists; as I progress with a painting, adjustments are made to the forms and elements.
