Step 8 Now, with the scene completed, I poured all of my focus into creating a nice looking banner. I went back to my thumbnail sketches and made several changes to the preliminary idea. After hours of sketching, I finally came up with a pleasing design. I included Columbus' coat-of-arms within the banner for a bit of interest. Step 9 After many hours of tedious stippling and repeated inkings, the banner is now finished.
